Niti Taylor as Nandini Murthy 

Niti Taylor is the female lead of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. She plays the character of Nandini Murthy, a simple girl hailing from Mangalore. Nandini lost her parents in a Car accident in the US 10 years ago. She moves to Mumbai with her Uncle and Aunt to treat her Brother’s mysterious illness after witnessing their Parents accident. Despite of her bad first impression about the Space Academy, Nandini joins there as a Scholarship student to save money for her Brothers treatment. At the College, she is bullied by the members of College’s popular Music Band Fab5. Nandini ends up getting closer to the Band Leader Manik Malhotra (Parth Samthaan) after finding that he is not a Monster as he shows himself to be. Though Manik develops feelings for Nandini, he pushes her towards his best buddy Dhruv Vedant (Utkarsh Gupta) who declares his love for her. Manik tries to win her back after she rejects Dhruv’s proposal, but Nandini rejects him telling that they are not meant to be together. However, despite of her decision to stay away from Manik, she finds it difficult to stay away from him.
The character of Niti Taylor in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan is somewhat similar to that of Geum Jan-Di (portrayed by Ku Hye-Seon) in Boys over Flowers. Niti Taylor was previously seen in the 2013 Telugu Romantic Comedy Film Pelli Pustakam. She was also seen as Naina in the Balaji Telefilms serial Bade Acche Lagte Hai telecasted on on Sony Entertainment Television India and Star Plus Show Zindagi Ka Har Rang Gulaal as Devika. Parth Samthaan as Manik Malhotra  

Parth Samthaan is the male lead of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan. He plays the role of Manik Malhotra, a rich Guy who hides his frustration and anger behind pranks. Manik is the leader of Space Academy’s famous music band FAB 5 and the son of the College Chairperson Nyonika. Manik and his friends tortures Nandini (Niti Taylor) after she stands up for her friend Navya Naveli (Veebha Anand). Manik and his friends start torturing Nandini. He even breaks Nandini’s prize possession (her father’s pen) unaware of its value to her. He blackmails her into becoming his personal spot girl for slapping him. Manik sacrifices his performance for a live show to help Nandini’s brother Rishabh when he gets an attack. He also breaks up with his girlfriend Alya (Krissann Barretto) when he finds that she had send goons to harass Nandini. Fate throws Nandini and Manik together and he slowly gets pulled towards Nandini. However, he pushes Nandini towards his best friend Dhruv (Utkarsh Gupta) after finding about his feelings for her. Manik finds it difficult to stay away from Nandini and tries to win her back after she refuses Dhruv only to be rejected by her.
Parth Samthaan was the runner up in Pantaloons Fresh Face Model Hunt 2012 and has featured in many television advertisements as a model. He has also starred in the Marathi short film Pradosh ( credited as Parth Laghate) and YouTube short film titled The Last Bet. He was last seen in Channel V's show Best Friends Forever as Prithvi Sanyal. Parth Samthaan’s character Manik Malhotra is somewhat similar to Gu Jun Pyo (Lee Min-Ho) in Boys over Flowers.

Ayaz Ahmed as Cabir Dhawan 

Ayaz Ahmed plays the role of Cabir Dhawan and his identical twin Ranbir (seen in the MTV Show Fanaah). He is a member of the FAB5 and Manik’s confidante. He is the son of an Army Officer and stays with his Mom after his Parents Divorce while Ranbir opts to stay with his Dad. Cabir is a Gay and was in a relationship with his teacher Raghav. However, to hide his sexual preferences, he takes the assistance of Ranbir’s friend Rose who acts as his girl friend. However, his relationship gets exposed because of Harshad and Raghav leaves him. Cabir’s Mom also refuses to acknowledge his sexual preferences leading him to leave his house.
Thanks to the character of Cabir, probably for the first time in Indian Television a kiss between two Men was shown. Ayaz Ahmed was previously seen in shows like MTV Roadies 5, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Tujh sang preet lagayi sajna, Ishaan, Meri Toh Lag Gayi... Veebha Anand as Navya Naveli

Veebha Anand plays the role of  Navya Naveli,  a small town girl joins Space Academy to fulfill her dream of becoming a vocalist and joining SPACE Academy’s famous band FAB5. Navya is tortured by FAB5 but Nandini saves her. The character of Navya is talkative and naive. She is nicknamed as 'Madhubala' by the FAB5. Navya falls in love with Harshad and blindly trusts him despite of warnings to stay away from him by Nandini and his Ex girl friend Mukti who was badly hurt by him. Nandini teams up with the FAB5 in exposing Harshad’s evil deeds and send him to jail. Harshad too shows his real face and rejects Navya after she testifies again him. Navya becomes heart broken and returns to her native place. However, she comes back after knowing about her pregnancy hoping that Harshad would accept her. The character of Navya bears a resemblance to Choo Ga-Eul of Boys over Flowers portrayed by Kim So-Eun.

Charlie Chauhan as Mukti Vardhan 

Charlie Chauhan plays the role of Mukti Vardhan is Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan. She is a band member of FAB5. She comes from a family where Parents fight all the time. She was in a love relationship with Harshad but hates him after she getting cheated by him. Her broken relationship makes her dependent on antidepressants and also turns her into a girl who dumps guys like worn clothes. Friends are her life and she tries to commit suicide when she sees that FAB5 is breaking. However, Mukti decides to give up anti depressants and joins a rehab for help to come out of her addition. In the latest episodes, she is seen slowly falling for Abhimanyu (Zain Imam) who vows to help her.

Utkarsh Gupta as Dhruv Vedant

Utkarsh Gupta plays the role of Dhruv Vedant in Kaisi Yeh Yaariyaan. He is one of FAB5 Band members. He becomes best buddy to Manik Malhotra (Parth Samthaan) after saving him from an accident but gets affected by a mysterious illness after that. Dhruv is a loner and opens up only with people who are close to him. Dhruv develops a crush on Nandini (Niti Taylor) and becomes friendly with her. Alia (Krissann Barretto) helps him to confess his feelings for Nandini hoping to win back Manik who has feelings for Nandini. Manik too sacrifices his feelings for Nandini when Dhruv declares that he is in love with her. Unaware of Manik’s feelings for Nandini, Dhruv confesses his love to Nandini. However, Nandini breaks his heart by refusing his proposal. Dhruv finds his solace in Alia and soon falls in love with her. He even helps Alia to get her Brother Harshad out of jail. Despite of his feelings for Alya, he is yet to confess his love for her.
MTV Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan is Utkarsh Gupta’s debut Show. Utkarsh is a trained Dancer and was a  participant of the Zee TV Dance Reality Show Dance India Dance in the year 2009. The character of Dhruv Vedant bears a slight resemblance to Yu Ji Hoo of Boys over Flowers portrayed by Kim Hyun-Joong.

Krissann Barretto as Aliya Saxena

Krissann Barretto plays the role of Aliya Saxena, a member of FAB5 and sister of Harshad Saxena. She was madly in love with Manik Malhotra, the FAB5 Leader and her Boyfriend of 7 years. When she finds Manik drifting away from her because of Nandini, she hire goons to scare Nandini. However, when Manik finds about it, Manik breaks his relationship with her. Alia takes the role of Love Guru to Dhruv after finding out about his attraction for Nandini as a strategy to get back together again with Manik. However, Nandini rejects Dhruv’s proposal. In the latest episodes, Alya is seen getting close to Dhruv who even helps her to get her Brother out of jail.
